The museum, which laid the foundation stone for it in 2002, is distinguished by its luxury and breadth, the luxury that the visitor feels as soon as he steps into that long entrance surrounded on the sides by huge columns, which crosses it down to the temporary exhibition hall, which displays many Egyptian industries throughout the ages , Such as pottery, textiles, fashion, gold and silver jewelry, and these industries show the extent of the development of pottery and glass crafts in ancient, middle and modern Egypt, so inside the lobby there are many models of the Egyptian manufacturer, in the various professions in which he worked professionally, next to him are some wooden tools and chairs on which he was sitting. In addition to many ceramic pots, murals, and doors, which confirm the craftsmanship of the Egyptian manufacturer.
Also inside the lobby is one of the rarest Egyptian antiquities at all, which is the coffin of the priest Najm Ankh, returning from the United States of America, after Egypt recovered it from among the recovered antiquities, and dates back to the first century BC, when Egypt was ruled by the Ptolemaic dynasty, He was a high priest of the god "Hershef" in the city of Heracleopolis, and is located in the center of Ahnasia in the province of Beni Suef now.

The Museum of Egyptian Civilization is one of the most important axes for the development of the archaeological "Al-Fustat" region, which is the first capital of Islamic Egypt. Therefore, Ain Al-Sira Lake, which has an area of ​​more than 2 million square meters, was developed, and from inside the museum you can see many buildings. The nearby archeology, on top of those buildings is the Muhammad Ali Pasha Castle, and the interior exhibitions of the museum were designed by the Japanese architect Arata Isozaki, while Dr. Al-Ghazali Qusaybah, professor of architecture at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo, obtained the right of architectural advice.
