The Companions Mosque a lighthouse for the propaganda adorning the land of peace
At the entrance to the city of peace, Sharm El-Sheikh, you will be greeted by the Sahaba Mosque, which extends over an area of nearly 3000 meters, on the sea, near the old market.
The mosque, which is one of the largest mosques in Egypt, and it admires it, was designed according to different Islamic architectural styles, such as the Ottoman style that appears in copper-colored domes, which are very similar to the domes of the Muhammad Ali Mosque in the Citadel in Cairo.
And the Mamluk style, which appears clearly the minaret of the mosque, as well as the Mamluk era, and is reflected in the use of golden color in the doors.
In addition to the Fatimid style, which appears in the "Alley of the Companions", it appears close to the Al-Shibh area in the "Alley Al-Midaq" in Al-Hussein neighborhood in Fatimid Cairo.
As darkness falls, dozens of "abalik"-made pottery lighting are found along the sides of the mosque, lit by many of the names of the companions of our master Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.
The pillars of the Companions Mosque were adorned with their names, and on top of them are Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, Omar bin Al-Khattab, Othman bin Affan, Ali bin Abi Talib, Ammar bin Yasir, and others, may God be pleased with them.
The mosque can accommodate more than 3000 worshipers, while the courtyard can accommodate about 800 worshipers, and it includes 36 toilets
The mosque provides thousands of publications in English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, Italian, and finally Chinese, explaining to tourists the foundations of true Islam, away from extremist ideas.
The mosque is adjacent to the Islamic Cultural Center, and it includes a team of imams with specialized studies in advocacy in English and French, which contributed to receiving official delegations from some European and Asian countries, led by China, Russia and Italy, for the purpose of cultural exchange, and to explain the correct Islamic views
