هي مدينة مصرية، تشكلت اركانها من حضارات مصرية متعاقبة ، انها مدينة نوبيع، أكبر واحات سيناء، تذخر شواطئها الرملية بالجمال والسحر والنقاء، كما تتمتع بالخيم البدوية السياحية الفريدة، وتتميز بالجبال الخلابة، والمساحات الرملية المخملية البيضاء التي لا نهاية لها والخلجان المنعزلة، والمياه الصافية النقية وأماكن الغطس الرائعة الجمال.
تقع على خليج العقبة شمال مدينة دهب على بعد 465 كم من قناة السويس، وتبلغ مساحتها 5097 كم مربع، وهى مدينة لها شهرة سياحية وتجارية واسعة، ويوجد بها ميناء نويبع والعديد من المشروعات السياحية والتى تعتمد على السياحة الشاطئية والغطس والسفارى.
وقد عرفت مدينة نويبع قديماً بقلعة نويبع أو طابية نويبع ، والآن فإن نويبع منطقة سياحية - زراعية - تجارية فهى ميناء مصرى مهم على خليج العقبة كما توجد بها العديد من آبار المياه إضافة إلى مياه السيول والعيون القريبة .. وتتبع نويبع قريتا واسط وطابا و 8 تجمعات سكانية أخرى .. وأقيمت بها فى السنوات الأخيرة عشرات الفنادق والمنتجعات السياحية ذات الشهرة العالمية .
قلعة نويبع : وتعرف بطابية نويبع وهي عبارة عن طابية صغيرة قامت ببنائها السردارية المصرية في عام 1893م وجعلتها مركزاً للشرطة من الهجانة لحفظ الأمن في تلك المنطقة . وللقلعة سور ومزاغل وباب كبير .. وداخل السور بئر ماء .. وكانت توجد بجانبها بضعة ألواح من الحجر يسكنها عائلات الشرطة .. وتقع علي بعد ميلين من معبد وادي العين شمالاً وهي المنطقة التي تسمي حالياً نويبع الترابين .
وعلى الرغم من تطورها من واحة صحراوية منعزلة إلى مدينة ومنتجع سياحي مميز لا تزال نويبع من الأماكن التي يقصدها السواح بهدف الاسترخاء والاستجمام بعيدًا عن الاماكن السياحة الصاخبة التي تعج بالسواح.
متوسط درجة حرارتها شتاءً يبلغ 20 درجة مئوية فيما يبلغ صيفًا 33 درجة مئوية.

Nuweiba Castle: It is known as the Tabiya of Nuweiba, which is a small cobblestone that was built by the Egyptian sardaria in 1893 AD and made it a police station for Haggāna to maintain security in that area. The castle has a wall, mazgel and a large gate .. Inside the wall there is a well of water .. Beside it there were a few stone slabs inhabited by the police families .. and it is located two miles from the Wadi Al-Ain temple to the north, which is the area currently called Nuweiba Al-Tarabin.
Despite its development from an isolated desert oasis to a distinctive tourist city and resort, Nuweiba is still one of the places that tourists visit for the purpose of relaxation and recreation away from the noisy tourist places that are full of tourists.
